Imagine getting a surprise gift in the mail that makes you feel special and loved. That’s what Denise Benz does every day with her company, Elevation. I got to chat with Denise, and her story is so interesting I had to share it with you. She’s all about making people happy, and her business is a big warm hug in a box. Denise used to work with big names like Tony Robbins, helping make TV shows and books happen. People called her “the gifting lady” because she always brought presents to meetings, even one time for Oprah! At one point she laughed and said, “I spent so much on flowers and candles, I should just start a gift company.” Then, when COVID slowed everything down, she finally did it. Elevation was born!

Denise named her company Elevation because she loves lifting people up. “I want to make everything better—friends, family, work, everything,” she told me. Her gift boxes come with a customized note that basically says, “Thank you for being you.” You can pick stuff like candles or mugs and add a message like, “My friend just got a new job,” or “My mom needs a smile.” It’s a simple way to show you care.



What makes Elevation special is how Denise makes every box personal. She told me about a time that her neighborhood had lost power. Denise went around door to door giving out matches and candles and met a woman who had just lost her husband and who had a special needs child. This simple act moved her to tears because someone thought of doing something so small. An executive director for national non-profit that advocates for victims of domestic violence. When Denise launched Elevation she sent a gift and a card that said, “Thanks for all you do.” The Executive Director cried because it came on a day she was having a tough time.  It was so impactful to her that she ordered 150 boxes for a big event.

Another time, a client said, “The Executive Producer of a national TV show has been such a huge  supporter. Can you build a custom box? Denise made a box for her client that was perfect. Her client said she loves Elevation because they always make her look good!

What I found interesting is that Denise even prays over each order that goes out.  She says she hopes it brings a little joy and light to someone’s day. Denise doesn’t stop there.

She works with groups that help cancer patients and people living in tough situations, sending them special boxes too. Denise also helps businesses say “thank you” to their workers or customers.

Her life taught her something big. Once she left a C suite job because it was no longer in alignment  with her values, it takes a strong person to make that type of decision.
